After 45 minutes they retired the car to say that I need a new lightbulb... that it will cost $300 to order and they don't have one in stock. I have no idea what they did for 45 minutes to determine I need a new headlight since I brought it to them saying "I need a new headlight". They change the $0.50 fuse which I already told them I changed and it keeps blowing because the light is blown. So in effect, they took 45 minutes of my life (plus 4 hrs of driving , 2 there and 2 back) to tell me i need a new lightbulb, which is what I told them to change int he first place.

What do you think was I taken advantage of? Should I have had to pay for the service?

They took my car in for 45 minutes then drove it out of the shop unfixed. They told me the bill is for .9 hrs (impossible to work 50 minutes in a 45 minute time frame). Not to mention I was there the whole time and 10 minutes of the time the car was int he parking lot, when i checked into the shop nobody was looking at it).

The Sales Department has never been anything but outstanding and accommodating. They have been helpful, knowledgeable and always tried to make their customers happy. In fact I have purchased 3 different brand new Toyota's at this location in my fleet of 5 Toyotas.

After several experiences with these guys I must say it was some of the worst human interaction with a business I have ever had. The service guys generally act grumpy, get mad if you question them, always complain that they are too busy, check your car in before lunch and then leave (even when they know you're in a rush and waiting right there).

I was aware of the recall but my dealership said I could wait until my next oil change to have the recall service performed.

After driving back to Kenora from Winnipeg, I went to the service area and was informed there was a charge of over $100 for oil, inspection, and cleaning supplies. After explaining to the service manager that I felt there should be no charge as this was due to a recall, I was informed that these are the charges I am responsible for. I explained the recall indicated there would be no charge for the repair. He did agree to remove the inspection and cleaning supply charges but was left with the oil charges to which I was told to talk to my home dealership about.

Only Toyota dealership between Winnipeg and Thunder Bay. Staff is good and we bought our Tacoma there. They made the buying process painless.

“If you have previously paid to have the repair performed on your vehicle due to this specific condition, please contact your Toyota dealership for reimbursement consideration.”

Today topped the cake for me. I phoned them yesterday to ask if I can bring in my Venza to have the light bulb changed. They said sure, they would squeeze me in. I took my Venza there (more than a two hour drive) to get the headlight changed (HID lights are not supposed to be changed by the operator according to manual).

Then they give me a bill for $121.25 to tell me exactly what I already knew when I dropped it off without actually fixing the reason I brought it there. This is fraudulent in my opinion. They billed me for 50 minutes when checking the headlight and fuse is a 5-10 minute job for anyone. Second they could have saved me the bother when I called by saying something like, "oh, we don't stock those headlights".

This is nothing more than highway robbery. I am so disgruntled I do not plan to return to this dealer ever. My apologies to the sales department, you do a good job... but the service department stinks

“Vehicles can exhibit oil leaks due to a variety of reasons which may not be related to the Engine Oil Cooler Pipe. If your vehicle exhibits an oil leak, Toyota, at no cost to you, will inspect the vehicle to determine if it is related to the Engine Oil Cooler Pipe”

On a recent trip I had the “oil light” indicator light up on my Sienna. Pulling over immediately I could smell burning oil and on inspection found there was a steady oil leak. I called Toyota Roadside Assistance, who were very friendly and helpful, and had the van towed to Bayview Toyota. As it was Sunday I left the van at the night drop-off and would follow up the next day. After not hearing back, I called Bayview Toyota late Monday afternoon. They said it was “in line” to be repaired and was informed the leak was related to a recall due to the engine oil cooler pipe. The following day I was contacted that my van was ready for pickup.
